A 42-year-old Monticello man and a juvenile were injured Tuesday, June 18 late in the evening after a car vs. motorcycle accident on U.S. 35 south of Winamac near County Road 225 South.

Stanley Dunkler of Knox told Pulaski County deputies that he was northbound in his vehicle on U.S. 35 when a motorcycle driven by Tyrone Anderson of Monticello entered his lane of travel.

Anderson told police that he was southbound on U.S. 35 and the next thing he knew he was beginning to enter the ditch on the opposite side of the road and collided with Dunkler’s vehicle.

Police noted that Anderson seemed confused and disoriented. Anderson reportedly said that he’s diabetic and missed his recent dose of insulin. He suffered a severe injury to his leg and a juvenile who was riding on the motorcycle also suffered an incapacitating injury.

An Indiana State Police crash re-constructionist arrived at the scene to reconstruct the scene.
